Welcome to the MB6 Foundation! Established in March 2018 in memory of Michael Blake, our organization is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding youth access to team sports in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Michael Blake was just 10 years old when he tragically passed away during baseball practice in Fountain Inn in 2014 due to a heart condition. He was known for his good spirit, love of the game, and the joy he brought to his teammates. The MB6 Foundation — named for his initials and jersey number — was created by his father to carry forward Michael’s passion for sports and his belief that every child deserves a chance to play.

Thanks to generous donors like you, we have contributed over $40,000 since 2019 to support local recreation departments in Fountain Inn, Mauldin, Simpsonville, and beyond. Your support helps underprivileged children participate in community team sports, building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong memories.

All donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward scholarships, equipment, and program fees. Thank you for helping us honor Michael’s legacy—and for making a lasting difference in the lives of local youth.

The MB6 Foundation is dedicated to giving every child the opportunity to learn and grow through community team sports. We believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of participation. Our team is made up of passionate individuals who work closely with local recreation departments to identify children who would benefit from our support. Through donor-funded assistance, we provide the equipment and registration fees needed to ensure these kids can join a team, build confidence, and experience the joy of the game. If you're interested in learning more or getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.
